mxass

mxass is a cross assembler running on different computer systems such as Linux, DOS and Windows that can generate executable files for 65xx-based computers, especially the Commodore 64.

mxass 0.x supports the instruction sets of 6502 (plus undocumented ones), 65c02, 65816 and Z80. It can deal with local labels, macros, includes and much more. mxass 0.x is Freeware.

mxass 1.x is a complete rewrite of mxass 0.x and does not yet have all features of the old version. It additionally supports 65sc02, HuC6580 (NEC TG-16/PC Engine) and 65ce02 (C64DX/C65). mxass 1.x may be freely distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

mxass 0.27f runs under DOS/Windows only and can be downloaded here:
mxass27f.zip (70 KB)
mxass 1.x is not yet available for download. If you want to help, please contact mist@c64.org.
