'Area
2000' has shorter tracks but each one continues the journey
from the last, the rhythms and sequences following on from one
another nicely. For the most part this is fast and furious
stuff that should get your head nodding to the pulsation.
There were moments where it did sound a little like some of Tangerine
Dream's soundtrack albums such as
‘Thief’, ‘Wavelength’ and ‘Flashpoint’ but at
other times it is just Frank’s individual very enjoyable
take on the Berlin School style. This is one of Frank’s best
albums, standing up very nicely against the superb SynCo
releases.
